Color: The wine shows a light crimson with hints of purple.
Nose: A lifted nose of red cherry and strawberry is complemented by earthier, mushroom characters and spicy French oak.
Palate: Vibrant flavours of raspberry and ripe strawberries are balanced by more complex notes of spice and truffle with a creamy mid palate. The wine finishes with hints of mocha and redcurrant acidity supported by gentle tannins and toasty French oak.West Aussie Pinot has grown from a curiosity to a serious example of this great grape, which offers value, flavour and great drinkability. Denmark has established itself at the forefront of this movement. A garnet/pale crimson hue, this is quite a savoury style of Pinot and a most welcome one. We have notes of leather, undergrowth, mushrooms, red cherries and a touch of nutmeg oak. On the palate, we move more to the red cherry end of the spectrum. This is well crafted and neatly balanced, with good acidity and impressive length. Enjoy for the next six years.
