Lots to like with this excellent value Pinot Noir. The colour is quite a shimmering crimson complemented by lovely aromatics, which open with cherries, followed by florals and raspberries. Sleek and supple in structure, there is good focus and a fine line of acidity. The wine is of medium length, finishing with silky tannins. Enjoy this over the next three to five years.
90 pts - Jeni Port (Wine Pilot)Eye-catching, glistening red-purple hues and a cherry-berry fruitiness equals one vibrant young Pinot Noir. Almost grapey-fresh, it’s like biting into a fresh red berry straight off the vine filled with cranberry, pomegranate, red cherry and plum fleshy fruitiness elevated by a gentle spiciness. Fine tannin-ed and so smooth across the tongue, The Mill Pinot Noir has an effortless ease about it. I wouldn’t mind it served chilled, too, especially with that lovely grapey freshness in place. It could make for ideal summer drinking.
