Nose: An intense nose of black cherries and dark fruit aromas is supported by complex notes of licorice and spice. 
Palate: Rich flavours of blackberry and ripe plum are complemented by more complex notes of spice and aniseed on the mid palate. The wine finishes with hints of black cherry and coffee bean, supported by velvety tannins and light notes of toasty French oak.Western Australian Pinot Noir is no longer simply a curio or the answer to a trivia question. Rather, it is providing some seriously enjoyable drinking with wines that can also offer longevity. A strawberry/cherry hue, there are simply gorgeous Pinot Noir notes here. There is a flick of vanillin oak, but with it we have red fruits, kirsch, wild raspberries, aniseed, boysenberries and dried herbs. This is finely balanced, if a slightly savoury style. On the palate we have the emergence of mushrooms and cherries. The wine exhibits good length through to fine tannins and finishes with a hint of sour cherries. Enjoy this over the next half dozen years.
