Nose: Aromas of red fruits and oak. 
Palate: Old vine wines from the Northern Barossa produce elegant but powerful wines. They are subtle but have a remarkable length to the pallet and this wine is no exception. Black forest fruits dominate and the lifted fruit is underpinned but elegant French oak spice.Very deep dense, saturated red-purple colour; the bouquet is super-intense and ultra-complex, with melted dark-chocolate, mocha, espresso coffee and blackberry flavours galore. Underneath, there are earthy/ironstone and other savoury nuances, mineral rocky notes continuing throughout the aftertaste. More spicy after airing. The tannis are superfine, long and impossibly smooth. A stonking shiraz.

It carries huge upfront appeal thanks to broad aromas of mulberry, blackberry, chocolate and white pepper spice well supported by creamy vanillin oak. Mid-weight and fleshy, there is good impact thanks to juicy acidity and vibrant berry flavors; al-dente tannis underpin a lingering finish.
