2022 Castel Firmian Riserva Teroldego Rotaliano

Post Type: Product

Teroldego is a grape variety indigenous to the valleys of Trentino. It is related to several local red grape varieties, as well as to Shiraz. A premium variety, it is appreciated for its capacity to give deeply coloured, lively flavoursome wines with pleasant tannins. The Riserva wines produced by the Mezzacorona co-operative are produced using only the best fruit from good vintages. The grapes are grown exclusively in Piana Rotaliana vineyards, their native home. The grapes are pressed without stems and macerated on the skins. After fermentation the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for 12 months and then rests for a further 12 months before bottling. This wine has an impressive deep colour with very attractive aromas of ripe fruit and berries. A fresh and elegant palate follows with subtle notes of barrel ageing. This is a full-bodied red with a framework of attractive, mature and fine tannins that allow the wine to be enjoyed on release, or over a short term cellaring perio

2023 Mt Bera ‘Dream Catcher’ Pinot Gris

Post Type: Product

Packham pear and white peaches carry the nose with a developed but subtle dried apricot lift in the background. Bright acidity with a fuller bodied frame carries the wine and develops into notes of citrus, white peaches and sweet spice. The zesty character in the wine is perfectly matched with lighter meals, white meats and seafood.

2024 Harewood Estate Frankland River Riesling

Post Type: Product

The grapes for this Riesling are from a single vineyard in the Frankland River subregion, the most northerly and continental in the Great Southern of Western Australia. Only the finest free-run juice is used for this wine, resulting in a palate of outstanding finesse. A long cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by minimal fining and an early bottling captures the inherent delicacy of the regional characteristics of the variety. A brilliant, exceptionally pale straw colour with youthful green tinges. Pungent spicy blossom aromas with hints of stone fruits, all enhanced by an underlying citrus vibrancy. Initial flavours of passionfruit and lemon barley lead to a spicy mid-palate with hints of citrus peel, finishing with classic and mouth watering aromas of lemons and limes. The fine structure is testament to the care taken during the production. Enjoy on release or cellar 1-2 years to develop the character, 2-5+ years for enjoyable mature Riesling flavours.

2023 The Little Wine Company Barbera

Post Type: Product

This fruit is from the Broke-Fordwich subregion of the Hunter Valley. Extremely low-yielding vines produce intensely flavoured grapes with excellent colour. A very food-friendly grape variety. With its plush fruit characters of currants and blackberries and its soft, supple tannins this is a wine that is dangerously moreish. Best enjoyed within 3-4 years.
