Mataro is an undiscovered gem in the Barossa with it being a staple of Barossa Winemaking for many generations. It thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate of the Barossa Valley. The Denim Mataro encompasses all the wonderful varietal characters of Mataro. It is a medium red colour with lifted spice, earthy notes raspberry and plum on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with great flavour intensity. Specifically raspberry fruit, some jubie notes, cherries, choc mint and eucalyptus.

The colour is mid red. The perfumed nose exhibits lifted redskin lollies, raspberry, wild strawberry fruit, with thyme and sweet spice notes. The juicy and fruit driven palate has raspberry fruit, orange blossom, ginger, mint and an earthy note. The old vines ensure weight and depth on the palate and the fleshy and supple tannins add to the mouthfeel of the wine with a mineral edge. The wine is balanced through the palate and the juicy berry flavours linger nicely.

The colour is mid red, with the nose having lifted dark berry fruit, earthy/savoury notes, liquorice and sweet clove like spice. The medium bodied palate displays typical GSM characters with cherries, raspberries, herbal notes, mint and a hint of roasted nuts. The tannins are soft and approachable, with the old vine fruit giving the wine lovely mouthfeel and texture. The palate is even and finishes with impressive length of berry fruit and savoury spice, making the wine very approachable and drinkable.
