Aromas of toasty oak and roasted cashews support rich nectarine fruit with hints of melon leading to a long grapefruit finish. The free run juice was fermented in powerful French oak coopered in Burgundy introducing spicey, toasty complexity and rich creamy texture. Additionally, the wine was allowed to go through secondary malolactic fermentation further softening the wine and enhancing the rich savoury textures.
An intense nose of black cherries and dark fruit aromas is supported by complex notes of licorice and spice. Rich flavours of blackberry and ripe plum are complemented by more complex notes of spice and aniseed on the mid palate. The wine finishes with hints of black cherry and coffee bean, supported by velvety tannins and light notes of toasty French oak.
A brilliant exceptionally pale straw colour with youthful green tinges on release. Aromas of intense floral and citrus notes with some hints of passionfruit enhanced by an underlying spicy lift can be found on the nose. A seamless palate, initial flavours of grapefruit and pear, leading to a sherbet mid-palate of passion fruit and spice, finishes with a long, classic mouth-watering citrus acidity. The fine structure is testament to the care taken during the production.
Deep red with purple hues. The nose has wonderful lift of raspberry fruits, floral notes, choc mint and an herbal, menthol note. The medium to full bodied palate has juicy red fruits, blackcurrant, earthy, savoury notes and black olives. The oak has introduced a cedary, roasted meat character. Soft silky tannins define the mid palate and complement the vibrant and juicy fruit. It finishes long with berry fruit, fine tannins and cedary oak.
Radiant and powerful yet elegant. This is the epitome of a Pinot Noir grown in superlative sites which fuses stong, appetising characters with incredible elegance. It offers suggestions of yellow fruits, almond tart and almond paste tweaked with some delicate touches of orange blossom. The palate is precise and reminiscent of a basket of fruit towards the end of summer, where the fruit is ripe but not overwhelmingly so (apricots, Mirabelle plums, fresh quince, Williams pears) and lightly toasted brioche bread and slivered almonds offer delicious flavours. The palate is clean yet fleshy, it is chewy and powerful but nicely plump and the finish is long and flavourful.
