Dense, glass staining purple-red colour, with a chocolate, coffee/mocha, mint and ironstone bouquet. Lots of oak. The wine is very full-bodied and power-packed, with abundant powdery tannins and profound flavour. A serious shiraz, muscular but approachable, and has a huge future if cellared.
93 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)McDonald Vineyard fruit here too. I see the earthiness a bit more to what is a wine with a full flourish of bold red fruit. This feels so inviting, open, and even the oak folds in. Flattering Barossan red.
