3 x bottles of 2023 Eisenstone Richardson Vineyard Moppa Shiraz SV906
96 pts – Huon Hooke (The Real Review): Very deep, dark red-purple colour with a sweetly pepperminty and red fruited aroma as well as darker blackberries, and lots of toasty, smoky oak. Rich, sweet fruit, which is deep and plush. A gorgeous shiraz that will mature beautifully.
3 x bottles of 2023 Eisenstone ‘Moppa’ Shiraz SR806
93 pts – Huon Hooke (The Real Review): Deep-ish red tinged with purple; the bouquet is dominated by peppermint, initially attractive but it’s singular and would pall quickly. The wine is more convincing on palate, where it is intense and firm, medium to full bodied, finishing with tense tannins which give upright structure and future potential. There’s a touch of elegance here, too.
