Deep-ish red tinged with purple; the bouquet is dominated by peppermint, initially attractive but it's singular and would pall quickly. The wine is more convincing on palate, where it is intense and firm, medium to full bodied, finishing with tense tannins which give upright structure and future potential. There's a touch of elegance here, too.
93 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)Following on from its big brother, this has an unmistakable choc bullet grainy heartiness. I query whether it leans a little ripe at the edges but certainly expansive power. Lovely wine.
